Loulou de la Falaise ; actually: Louise Vava Lucia Henriette Le Bailly de la Falaise (born May 4, 1948 in London , England ; † November 5, 2011 in Boury-en-Vexin (Oise), France) was a French model and a fashion designer .

life and career

The daughter of an Irish model, born in 1948, met Yves Saint Laurent at the age of 19 in a New York nightclub, who asked her to follow him to Paris. So she joined his company in 1972. She quickly became one of his closest confidants and right-hand man, who designed jewelry and hats for the couture house for over 30 years and inspired him to create numerous designs.

For three decades, until the Haute Couture house closed in 2002, she created tens of thousands of accessories and - together with Anne-Marie Muñoz - also created a large part of the prêt-à-porter line.

Loulou de la Falaise had two children.
