Lovište is a small village at the western end of the Pelješac peninsula in Croatia with about 250 inhabitants, which belongs to the municipality of Orebić . Due to natural bays and beaches and the many hours of sunshine (up to 3000 per year) it is an attractive destination for a beach holiday for many tourists.
In the Lovište area, the mountains are no higher than two hundred meters, unlike elsewhere on the Pelješac peninsula. Lovište has a Mediterranean climate with dry and hot summers and water temperatures up to 26 ° C in July and August, winters are mild and humid, the temperature usually does not drop below five degrees.
The place is close to archaeological sites like the Nakovana Cave and medieval villages. The economic basis for the typical Mediterranean town is traditionally fishing and agriculture; however, tourism is becoming increasingly important.
