The Lowe nunatakkers are a group of nunatakkers in the center of Thurston Island off the Eights coast of west Antarctic Ellsworthlands . In the Walker Mountains they tower 2.5 km southeast of Mount Borgeson .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them in 2003 after W. L. Lowe, who was involved in the creation of aerial photographs of Thurston Island and the neighboring mainland coast as part of Operation Highjump (1946–1947) carried out by the United States Navy .
