Mount Borgeson is a mountain on Thurston Island off the Eights coast of West Antarctic Ellsworthland . In the Walker Mountains it rises 8 km east-southeast of Smith Peak .
Its position was first determined from aerial photographs taken by the United States Navy during Operation Highjump (1946–1947). The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it after Warren Thomas Borgeson (* 1924), topography engineer during the US Navy research expedition into the Bellingshausen Sea in February 1960, who was involved in the establishment of numerous geodetic survey points in this area.
