The Lowe River is a river in southern Alaska .

The Lowe River arises in the Chugach Mountains west of the lower reaches of the Copper River . From there it flows in a westerly direction. The Lowe River drains the south and north trending glaciated mountain ranges of the Chugach Mountains. Several glaciers, including the Deserted Glacier , feed the Lowe River. The Richardson Highway ( Alaska Route 4 ) comes from the Thompson Pass in the north and meets the river and follows it. The Lowe River then flows through Keystone Canyon . Finally it flows into the eastern end of Port Valdez , a side bay of the Prince William Sound , 3 km southeast of Valdez . The Lowe River is 45 km long.
