The Lower City Mills are a former watermill in the Scottish city ​​of Perth in the Council Area Perth and Kinross . In 1965 the building was included in the Scottish monument lists in the highest monument category A. Near the Upper City Mills, a mill on the site is already shown on a map from 1783. After a fire in 1803, today's Lower City Mills were built in the same year. Fragments of the older mill may have been integrated into the new structure. Expansions probably lasted another five years. While flour was produced in the Upper City Mills, the Lower City Mills were used to make oatmeal . She also had a granary and a kiln . In 1953 oatmeal production in the mill ended. Today the building houses a tourist information office. In 2012, Lower City Mills was added to the register of endangered listed buildings in Scotland. However, their condition is classified as good with low risk.

The former mill is on West Mill Street, west of Perth's historic city center. The masonry of the three-story building is made of quarry stone . The kiln has a pyramid roof with ventilation, while the main building ends with three hipped roofs . All roofs are covered with gray slate. The undershot water wheel in the Mühlkanal , which the Upper City Mills also used, is of unusual dimensions. It measures 4.3 meters in diameter and is 3.7 meters wide.
