Etienne Amenyido (born March 1, 1998 in Herford ) is a German football player .

Career

The striker Amenyido is the son of a Togolese and a German. He began his career at the age of four at Bünder SV . At the age of 13 he moved to the youth team at Borussia Dortmund , where he scored seven goals in 19 games in the B-Junior Bundesliga and 17 goals in 38 games in the A-Junior Bundesliga . Amenyido won German championships in 2016 and 2017 with Borussia's A-youth team and played in the UEFA Youth League .

After the expiry of his youth Amenyido first moved into the cadres of the second men's team and came on the first day of the Regional League West against Rot-Weiss Essen in an insert in the starting line before a little later to the Dutch first division -Rückkehrer VVV-Venlo on loan . There he only made two short appearances in the league and two appearances in the cup until winter , including one over the full season in the first round match in Veghel at the fourth-class club Blauw Geel '38. His team won the game 3-0 and Amenyido scored one goal and set up another.

In January 2018, Amenyido returned to Dortmund and switched to third division VfL Osnabrück for the 2018/19 season on a free transfer . He made his first league game appearance for Osnabrück on July 28, 2018 in a 2-1 win over the Würzburger Kickers when he was substituted on in the closing stages of the game. He scored his first third division goal on February 23, 2019 in VfL's 2-0 home win against Halleschen FC. Two days later, Amenyido's contract in Osnabrück was extended by two years until 2021. With VfL, he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga at the end of the season.

National team

For the German U-19 national team , Amenyido completed seven games and scored five goals. He took part in the 2017 European Championship , where the German selection failed in the preliminary round. He was used three times in the U-20 selection .
