In addition, Köhler moved to the Westphalian upper division club SV Lippstadt 08 .

With the Lippstadt team, Köhler became champion of the Oberliga Westfalen in the 2017/18 season and was promoted to the Regionalliga West . A year later, Sven Köhler moved to the second division VfL Osnabrück . He made his professional debut on August 2, 2019 in the 1-0 victory of Osnabrück at SV Sandhausen , when Köhler came on for Anas Ouahim .
