Ulrich Taffertshofer (born February 14, 1992 in Penzberg ) is a German football player .

Career

Ulrich Taffertshofer grew up in Abertshausen near Obersöchering and began his career at SV Söchering. After several seasons with clubs in Murnau and Starnberg , he moved to TSV 1860 Munich at the age of 16 . There the central defender was a regular player in the youth teams in the respective junior national league from the U17. He was also a member of the Bavarian Football Association's Bavarian team. In 2011 he was in the semi-finals of the German championship with the U19 Löwen.

Later Taffertshofer played for a year in the regional league team of the lions, where he was only used irregularly. For the 2012/13 season he therefore moved to Wacker Burghausen . There he became a fixture in the defense of the second team in the Bayern League . After the loss of several defenders in the professional team of the club, he got his chance and made his debut in the 3rd division over 90 minutes on March 6, 2013 and only a little later he played a second time for the full season. In summer 2015 he moved to the Upper Bavarian regional league team SpVgg Unterhaching . With Unterhaching, he became champion of the Regionalliga Bayern in 2017 and rose to the 3rd division. In the summer of 2018 he moved to third division competitor VfL Osnabrück . With Osnabrück he became champions of the 3rd league in 2019 and was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga .

Taffertshofer's younger brother Emanuel Taffertshofer is also a professional footballer. He also went through the youth teams of TSV 1860 Munich and was in the squad of the first team of the Munich Lions in the 2015/16 season .
