David Buchholz (born August 5, 1984 in Guben ) is a German soccer goalkeeper who has been under contract with VfL Osnabrück since 2019 .

Career

He comes from the youth department of Rot-Weiss Essen . From there moved to Vorwärts Kornharpen for the 2005/06 season . At the beginning of the 2007/08 season he moved to the second team at VfL Bochum . After the season he moved on to the regional league team Preußen Münster . During the winter break of the 2011/12 season, he moved within the league to Sportfreunde Lotte . For the 2014/15 season he moved to the regional division FC 08 Homburg .

After two seasons in Homburg, the goalkeeper returned to Lotte. He made his professional debut in the 3rd division on April 8, 2017 in the 3-0 away defeat against SC Fortuna Köln , where he guarded the goal for the entire season; it was his only game of the season. In the following 2017/18 season , Buchholz made another 15 third division appearances for Lotte. In the summer of 2018 he moved to the newly promoted regional league SV Straelen .

For the 2019/20 season , Buchholz signed a one-year contract with VfL Osnabrück, newly promoted to the second division .
