The Lowery Glacier is a 100 km long glacier not far from the Shackleton Coast in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . It flows from the Prince Andrew Plateau in a northerly direction on the eastern flank of the Queen Elizabeth Range to the Nimrod Glacier .
Participants in the New Zealand Geological and Topographical Survey Expedition (1959-1960) named him. It was named after James H. Lowery, an expedition member who was injured in an accident with a snowmobile on Cape Selborne in November 1959.
