On February 23, 1593, Lubbert came into the possession of the cathedral priest , whom the canon Bernhard von Oer had previously waived . He was emancipated on February 25 with the revolt to the Hatzfeld, Harff, Torck and Hennert families. As dean of Xanten he opted on May 19, 1615 after the resignation of Canon Heidenreich von Letmathe, the obedience of Ostenfelde . Lubbert made his will on September 24, 1619, two days before his death, in which he appointed his nephew Werner Anton von Hatzfeld (canon in Xanten) as heir. Lubbert's brother Wilhelm asked on July 29, 1630 to pay him the remaining estate.
