Lucía Palacios

Lucía Palacios (born July 27, 1972 in Spain ) is a film director and label maker. In 2008, Lucía Palacios and Dietmar Post were awarded the most important German television prize, the Adolf Grimme Prize .

Life

Lucía Palacios studied film studies in Madrid (Universidad Complutense). After completing her master's degree, she lived and worked in New York between 1995 and 2003. In addition to her work as a TV news journalist, she began her first film work there and founded the production company Play Loud! With her partner Dietmar Post ! Productions , which has also acted as a label since 2006. Since 2007 Palacios has also been running her own Spanish production company Lucía Palacios PC

Critics call Palacios and Post the German counterpart to Direct Cinema directors DA Pennebaker and Chris Hegedus.
