Luca Hämmerle (born October 4, 1996 in Bülach ) is an Austrian snowboarder . He starts in the snowboard cross discipline and was Austrian champion in 2018.

Career

Luca Hämmerle comes from a sporty family: his brothers Michael and Alessandro (* 1993) are also active as snowboarders. He lived in Switzerland until he was six and then moved with his family to Austria in the Montafon. His nickname is Hämsn .

At the age of 14 he switched to the Stams ski school . At the European Youth Games in 2013, the then 16-year-old took second place.

In November 2018 he won his first Austrian championship title in snowboard cross. In November 2019, he became Vice State Champion in snowboard cross behind his brother Alessandro as part of a European Cup race on the Pitztal Glacier.

Luca Hämmerle lives in Bludenz .
