The Lucchitta Glacier is a 30 km long glacier in the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . It flows south from the Hudson Mountains to Pine Island Bay on the Walgreen Coast .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 2003 after the German astrogeologist Bärbel Kösters Lucchitta (* 1938), a pioneer in the field of measuring glacier flow velocities in Antarctica using aerial and satellite images.
