Reinhard Teufel
Reinhard Teufel (born May 20, 1979 ) is an Austrian politician of the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ). Since March 2018 he has been a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament .
Life
After elementary and secondary school in Lackenhof and Gaming, Reinhard Teufel attended the Higher Federal Institute for Forestry in Gainfarn , where he graduated in 1998 . After the military service , he began studying social and economic sciences, which he completed in 2004 with a master's degree.
After completing his studies, he worked in the financial accounting of the Austrian Research Center , from 2007 he was a specialist in the Freedom Parliamentary Club , and from 2007 to 2017 he was a main member of the §7 Commission at the Federal Ministry for Sustainability and Tourism . In 2011 he became office manager at FPÖ club chairman Heinz-Christian Strache . In 2013 he took over his parents' farm in Lackenhof, which he has been running since then as a subsidiary. In 2014 he passed the service examination for the administrative service in the Parliamentary Directorate and in July 2017 the state examination for the leading forest service (forester examination). He has been a board member of the FPÖ educational institute since 2016 . In December 2017 he became head of cabinet in the Federal Ministry of the Interior under the then Interior Minister Herbert Kickl , where he headed the cabinet until his dismissal by the Federal President in May 2019 in the wake of the Ibiza affair .
Reinhard Teufel has been a member of the municipal council in Gaming since 2010, and in May 2017 he was elected FPÖ district chairman in the Scheibbs district. On March 22, 2018 he was in the constituent state parliament session of the XIX. Legislative term as Member of the state parliament of Lower Austria sworn in , where he was responsible for the areas of security, asylum and immigration and is in charge of agriculture, business / tourism and science / research. In addition, Teufel is a member of the supervisory board of ASFINAG Maut Service GmbH and a delegate of Upper Austrian Mutual Insurance Asset Management .
Teufel is a member of the Brixia academic fraternity in Innsbruck . He is married and has four children.
Political positions
As part of his political activities, Teufel is committed to implementing and accelerating measures to end residence in the immigration and asylum sectors. In addition, he is working, among other things, to restrict the use of foreign nurses.
In the area of housing subsidies, he explicitly calls for affordable starter apartments for young Lower Austrians and advocates abolishing ecological measures and climate requirements in housing. Furthermore, he calls for light pollution to be prevented by demanding studies for the scientific investigation of the consequences of light pollution from the federal government , whereby a star park could serve for astronomical studies in southern Lower Austria. Furthermore, Teufel is committed to anchoring the “right to cash payment” in the federal constitution.
