Manfred Schulz (born January 4, 1963 in Mistelbach ) is an Austrian farmer and politician ( ÖVP ). Schulz has been a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament since 2008 and lives in Zwentendorf .

Life

Schulz attended elementary school in Gnadendorf from 1969 to 1973 and then until 1977 the secondary school in Asparn an der Zaya . He then graduated from the Francisco Josephinum in Wieselburg .

Schulz initially worked in his parents 'business, took on various activities in the machine ring before he took over his parents' farm in 2003. Together with his wife, Schulz runs an arable farm with a focus on potatoes and sugar beets as well as a beef fattening business. Schulz has also been offering farm holidays in his company since 2000 .

He is married and has two sons.

From 1995 to 2008 Schulz was also a volunteer platoon commander for the volunteer fire department.

politics

Schulz has been the local party chairman of the ÖVP Gnadendorf since 1985 and was elected to the parish council in 1989. He has also been chairman of the local farmers 'council since 1994 and the chairman of the local farmers' council since 1995. After becoming a member of the chamber council in 1995, Schulz took over the function of a local councilor and mayor of Zwentendorf on June 2, 1999 and was elected chairman of the farmers' union of the Mistelbach district and a member of the district executive committee in 2007.

On January 7, 2014, Manfred Schulz was elected mayor of Gnadendorf.

Schulz has represented the ÖVP in the state parliament since April 10, 2008.
