Kathrin Schindele (born May 26, 1981 in Waidhofen an der Thaya ) is an Austrian politician of the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ). She has been a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament since March 2018 .

Life

After elementary school, Kathrin Schindele attended the Hagenmüllergasse grammar school in Vienna , where she graduated in 1999 . She then graduated from the Pedagogical Academy (PÄDAK) in Ettenreichgasse in Vienna, which she completed in 2003 with the diploma examination for teaching at special schools. Since 2004 she has been a teacher at the Center for Inclusive and Special Pedagogy ASO St. Pölten Nord , where she is the headmaster in 2017. She is a member of the school development team for elementary schools in the Lower Austrian Provincial School Board, and she is also an expert on the special educational needs of general education compulsory schools (APS).

In 2013 Kathrin Schindele is active in the Association of Social Democratic Teachers' Association Austria (SLÖ), among other things as a member of the state management and in various functions in the St. Pölten district group. She is also a member of the extended provincial management of the Lower Austria compulsory school teachers' union. Since 2013 she has also been active in the SPÖ, for example as deputy chairwoman of Section 9 in St. Pölten, as a member of the city party executive committee and a member of the district executive committee. On March 22, 2018, she was in the constituent state parliament session of the XIX. Legislative period as a Member of the Lower Austria state parliament sworn in , where it acts as a spokeswoman for education and school integration, agricultural schools, music schools, science, colleges and technology.
