Rainer Windholz

Rainer Windholz (born June 23, 1969 in Eisenstadt ) is an Austrian politician of the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ). Since March 2018 he has been a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament .

Life

After primary and secondary school, Rainer Windholz attended the polytechnical school and from 1984 to 1988 the federal commercial school in Bruck an der Leitha . From 2009 he studied at the Danube University Krems , he completed the university course in political communication as a Master of Science .

From 1989 to 2000 worked as a bank employee and in 2001 as an event manager. From 2002 to 2003 he worked as a regional manager for Volkshilfe and from 2003 to 2004 for the Vocational Promotion Institute (BFI). From 2004 he was the SPÖ district manager in Schwechat , from 2005 to 2017 the SPÖ district manager in Bruck an der Leitha and in 2017 the SPÖ regional manager for Lower Austria East.

Rainer Windholz has been a member of the SPÖ District Party Presidium and District Party Executive in the Bruck an der Leitha district since 2000 . From 2000 to 2002 he was a city councilor in Bruck an der Leitha, after which he was a member of the local council there, and has been a city councilor again since 2008. Since 2004 he has also been deputy city party chairman of the SPÖ city organization Bruck an der Leitha.

On March 22, 2018 he was in the constituent state parliament session of the XIX. Legislative term as Member of the Lower Austria state parliament sworn in , where he acts as the spokesperson for sport, leisure and tourism and animal welfare.
