Jürgen Handler (born April 21, 1977 in Neunkirchen ) is an Austrian politician of the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ). Since March 2018 he has been a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament .

Life

After finishing primary and secondary school, Jürgen Handler attended the agricultural college in Warth . After completing an apprenticeship as a carpenter in 1995, he completed military service and has been a non-commissioned officer in the armed forces since 1998 , where he has also been a staff representative since 2009 ( working group of liberal army members AFH and action group of independent and liberal activists ). As of February 2020 he is Chief Staff Sergeant .

politics

Since the local elections in 2015 , he belongs to the local council in Schei-Thernberg on. From 2017 he was deputy district chairman of the FPÖ in the Neunkirchen district . On March 22, 2018 he was in the constituent state parliament session of the XIX. Legislative term as Member of the state parliament of Lower Austria sworn in . He succeeded Gottfried Waldhäusl , who moved to the state government of Mikl-Leitner II as regional councilor . His departments include national defense, the EU and the public service. In December 2018 he was elected district party chairman of the FPÖ Neunkirchen.
