Christian Gepp

Christian Gepp (born May 9, 1972 in Vienna ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ), mayor of the municipality of Korneuburg since April 13, 2010 and a member of the Lower Austria state parliament since March 22, 2018 .

education

Gepp attended the Korneuburg elementary school , the lower level at the Stockerau grammar school and switched to the HASCH Korneuburg. He completed a course in advertising and sales at the Vienna University of Economics and Business and completed a master’s degree.

Political career

Gepp was politically involved in the young ÖVP and was, among other things, city chairman of the young ÖVP and district chairman. In 1995 Christian Gepp became regional manager of the Young ÖVP Lower Austria. From 1996 to 2010 he was district manager of the People's Party of Lower Austria . Gepp has been a member of the municipal council in Korneuburg since 1997 and became vice mayor in 2000 with the responsibility for cemetery and monument preservation and chairman of the urban development fund. On March 14, 2010 the ÖVP achieved a municipal council result of 47.56% and provided the mayor.

Christian Gepp has been the mayor of the municipality of Korneuburg since April 13, 2010, making him the first ÖVP mayor in 65 years.

On a voluntary basis, he headed the Children's World of Lower Austria as regional chairman and also held the position of federal representative of the Austrian children's world. He is the director of the Korneuburg Children's World.

On March 22, 2018 he was in the constituent state parliament session of the XIX. Legislative term as Member of the state parliament of Lower Austria sworn in .

Private

Christian Gepp lives in Korneuburg, has been married since 2000 and has a daughter.
