Lucho Avilés

Luis César "Lucho" Avilés Volante (born April 30, 1938 in Montevideo ; † June 8, 2019 ) was a Uruguayan showmaster and tabloid journalist who lived in Buenos Aires since 1965 .

Avilés was considered a pioneer of tabloid journalism and a pioneer of television entertainment on Argentine television. In the 1970s, for example, he presented the program Radiolandia en TV together with Susana Fontana and Jorge Jacobson . From 2001, Indomables was one of his other programs .

Most recently he was seen on Argentine cable television with the program Convicciones, among others. At the beginning of November 2010 he announced the end of his television career for December 2010. A few days later, based on the testimony of a journalist, the rumor about his death , which was spread on Twitter but not in accordance with the facts, caused a sensation.
