Luciano Manuzzi (born January 26, 1952 in Cesena ) is an Italian film director and screenwriter .

Life

After completing his studies, Manuzzi turned to literature in the 1970s and met important artists of his time such as Pier Paolo Pasolini , Bernardo Bertolucci and Sandro Penna , who helped him to complete his first film, Fuori stagione , which appeared in 1978 . The work received two David di Donatello . Bertolucci produced Sconcerto rock in 1982 , to which Gianna Nannini contributed the soundtrack. Work for the cinema and, from 1998, for television followed at regular intervals, but more and more commercial aspects. The financially successful I pavoni 1994 and the interesting, but ultimately inconsistent Sabato italiano and the television series Lui & lei, which were made two years earlier, remained remarkable .
