Lucien Lux (* 13. September 1956 in Ulflingen ) is a Luxembourg LSAP - politicians .

Lucien Lux initially worked for the railway and in 1978 became union secretary of the OGB-L . In 1989 he was elected for the first time for the LSAP as a member of the Luxembourg parliament . In 2002 he became general secretary of his party and as such was responsible for organizing the 2004 elections for the LSAP. At the local level he was from 1988 to 2004 mayor in Bettembourg . He resigned the post of mayor and the seat of parliament when he was appointed to the Juncker-Asselborn I government. From July 31, 2004 to July 27, 2009, he held the office of Environment and Transport Minister. From 2009 to 2013 he was again a member of parliament. In the 2013 parliamentary elections , he was not re-elected. He has been a member of the State Council since the end of 2013 .

Lucien Lux is married and has two children.
