Lucimara da Silva

Lucimara da Silva ( Lucimara Silvestre da Silva ; born July 10, 1985 in Lucélia , state of São Paulo ) is a former Brazilian heptathlete .

In 2007 she won the South American Athletics Championships in São Paulo and also won bronze in the 100-meter hurdles . A bronze medal at the Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro was followed by a 31st place at the World Athletics Championships in Osaka .

At the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, she came 17th and set a South American record with 6076 points.

In 2009, she was stripped of her gold medal at the South American Championships in Lima after a short-term doping control had shown a positive result for erythropoietin (EPO). A two-year ban was imposed for this violation of the doping regulations .

In 2011 she won the Pan American Games in Guadalajara and improved her continental record.
