Ludiger von Woldenberg
Ludiger von Woldenberg , also Ludger II. Von Woldenberg, was a count of Woldenberg .
He accompanied Duke Henry the Lion in his exile to England. After a few years he returned with Bernhard II (Lippe) and they met the Emperor in 1184 and visited Hardehausen Monastery to talk about founding a monastery .
He was involved in the establishment of Marienfeld Abbey (Münsterland) . In 1185 he gave the new foundation 4 Hufen with tithe right. Later his sister Adelheid von Woldenberg became abbess in the St. Aegidii Münster monastery to the west .
He died around 1203.
According to evidence, his grave is in the monastery church.
