Ludmila "Lída" Bášová (born April 23, 1968 in Hradec Králové as Ludmila Šimáková ) is a former Czech badminton player .

Career

Ludmila Bášová took part in several European championships and in the 1991 and 1999 world championships in badminton. At the 1991 World Cup, she failed in doubles with Jitka Gasparová in the third round in the fight for a place in the round of 16 against Kimiko Jinnai and Hisako Mori from Japan. In 1999 she lost with Markéta Koudelková after winning the opening match against Marie-Helene Pierre and Selvon Marudamuthu from Mauritius to the Dutch Erica van den Heuvel and Lonneke Janssen. She won her first Czechoslovak title in the individual disciplines during her studies in Prague together with Alena Horáková in 1992. After her marriage to Petr Báša in 1993 and the birth of their daughter Alžbětka , who is now also enjoying success at national level in badminton, she switched to in 1994 Niederlausitzer Verein BV Tröbitz in the German badminton league. At the following Czech championships she was in top form in women's doubles with Markéta Koudelková . From 1997 to 2000, both won four titles in a row. In general, this was a very successful time for the Báša couple. Petr also won three Czech double titles in a row from 1997 to 1999: in 1997 with Tomasz Mendrek and in 1998 and 1999 with Zdeněk Musil .

The Báša family still lives in Hradec Králové and promotes the badminton career of their daughter Alžběta .
