Petr Báša (born January 16, 1965 in Hradec Králové ) is a former Czech badminton player .

Career

Petr BASA took part in several European Championships in badminton and at the World Cup in part 1999th In 1993, after studying in Prague, he moved from the then eight-time Czech team champion Meteor Praha to the Niederlausitzer club BV Tröbitz in the German badminton league. For years he was not able to jump onto the top podium at the Czech individual championships because he was also unable to defeat the exceptional talents Michal Malý and Tomasz Mendrek . After his marriage to Ludmila Šimáková in 1993 and the birth of their daughter Alžběta, who is now also enjoying success at national level in badminton, and four years in the league, he finally won the long-awaited title: At the Czech championships in 1997 he was together with Tomasz Mendrek Czech title holder in men's doubles. He was able to defend this double title in 1998 and 1999 , but both times with the new double partner and long-time club mate of Meteor Praha, Zdeněk Musil . In general, this was a very successful time for the Báša couple. Also Lída won of 1997 bis 2000 four Czech doubles title with Markéta Koudelková in a row. At the 1999 World Cup, he failed in the preliminary round in men's doubles together with Zdeněk Musil. Petr Báša was active in Tröbitz with the local badminton club until January 2006 .

The Báša family still lives in Hradec Králové and promotes the badminton career of their daughter Alžběta .
