Life

Fritz Gerlich's nephew received his PhD. jur. et rer. pole. In 1933 he was able to save Fritz Gerlich's estate from his apartment. From 1934 to 1938 he worked as a local judge. In 1938 he emigrated to Switzerland, France and England. In a confidential letter to the military government in 1947, the lawyer, who was the Vice President of the Munich City Police , demanded “freer use of firearms” in the case of Jewish “bestiality” and a “final cleansing of the place of riot” in Munich's Möhlstrasse - there had been protests there after the Süddeutsche Zeitung had published an anti-Semitic letter to the editor. From December 12, 1949 to January 1, 1951, Weitmann was executive police chief for Franz Xaver Pitzer, who was suspended because of his involvement in the so-called gold slide trial . Weitmann also hit the headlines for foreign exchange offenses.
