Ludwig August Bretschneider
Ludwig August Bretschneider (born August 22, 1860 in Vienna ; † August 4, 1929 there ) was an Austrian politician of the Social Democratic Workers' Party of Austria (SDAP).

Ludwig August Bretschneider attended an arts and crafts school after primary school. He worked as a sculptor, editor of equality , the Arbeiter-Zeitung and the people's tribune .
Private
The son of a kit maker was born in one of those houses on the Rechten Wienzeile that later had to give way to the construction of the forward building .

Ludwig August Bretschneider was involved in the organization of the Hainfeld party congress. In 1890 he organized the May Day celebrations in place of the imprisoned Victor Adler . Since he was responsible for "equality" and the "Arbeiter-Zeitung", he was arrested by the police several times.
Commemoration
In 1930, Bretschneidergasse in the 19th district of Döbling was named after him in memory of Ludwig August Bretschneider .
