Ludwig Bauer (geographer)
Ludwig Bauer (born December 1, 1927 in Pößneck ) is a German geographer and conservationist.
Life
Bauer received his doctorate and habilitation as a Dr. sc. and was professor at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg . He was also a member of the scientific advisory board for local research of the Institute for Geography and Geoecology of the Academy of Sciences of the GDR . He was a co-author of the Values of Our Home series and edited the handbook of the nature reserves of the German Democratic Republic .
