Ludwig Brahm

Ludwig Brahm , actually Ludwig Abrahamson , ( May 28, 1862 in Hamburg - June 27, 1926 in Bad Tölz ) was a German theater actor .

Life

Brahm, the son of a businessman, began his stage career in Gera after taking dramatic lessons from Carl August Görner , then was engaged in Chemnitz, Berlin, Bremerhaven, Cologne, Dessau, Salzburg, Karlsbad and Breslau and came to the Thaliatheater in Hamburg in 1890 . When the Deutsches Schauspielhaus was founded in 1900, he came to this stage and made his debut as a “port worker” in today's youth . There he was later made an honorary member.

Some of his popular roles are: " Wreaths of Flowers " in Goldonkel , "Schmock", "Adam" in Adam and Eve , "Börseaner Wiener" in Agnes Jordan etc.

His artistic résumé after 1902 is unknown; he died in 1926.

He was the younger brother of Otto Brahm , his son was the actor John Brahm , his daughter the actress Gertrude Brahm.
