Ludwig Brousek (born March 20, 1908 , † 1974) was an Austrian national soccer player . He was the father of Richard Brousek , who later also played in the national team.

Career

Winger Ludwig Brousek began his career at Favoritner first division SpC Rudolfshügel , where he in the 1926-27 relegation season first experience in I. League was able to collect. After VAFÖ transfer of the dark blue he moved within the II. League to SC Altmannsdorf , where he was brought in by the league competitor BAC after a good season in 1929/30 . With the show club of Brigittenau, the promotion to the first league succeeded promptly without losing a single game. The hoped-for relegation in 1932/33 did not succeed, however, Ludwig Brousek was taken over by FC Libertas Wien from Ottakring with 8 goals as the club's best shooter .

With Libertas, Ludwig Brousek had finally found a club with which he could play in the I. League for a long time and also harmonized well with his right wing partner Josef Lebeda . Both played together with club colleague Rudolf Schlauf in the international match on October 6, 1935 against Poland in Warsaw, with the Austrians' first suit playing against Hungary in Vienna on the same day. Shortly before that, the club was able to get the best result in the club's history with fifth place in 1934/35 , ultimately Ludwig Brousek stayed with the club in the highest Austrian league until 1937. In early 1938 he moved to SV Wienerberg , where he played until at least 1944.
