Ludwig the penitentiary

Ludwig Bußjäger (born April 21, 1885 in Frankenthal ; † May 24, 1962 there ) was a German politician ( FDP ).

Bußjäger did an apprenticeship as a locksmith and became a master mechanic after attending the mechanical engineering school. From 1905 to 1907 he was a fitter at Maschinenfabrik Balcke AG Frankenthal and from 1907 to 1927 foreman there. Afterwards he was an independent master mechanic in Frankenthal. From 1908 to 1927 he was a member of the German Werkmeisterverband.

In 1930 he was a member of the Frankenthal City Council for the economic party. From 1948 to 1952 he was again a member of the city council and mayor of Frankenthal. He was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament as a replacement for Anton Eberhard from 1953 to 1955. In the state parliament he was a member of the border region committee.
