Ludwig of Colomb

Ludwig Christian Colomb , since 1786 von Colomb (born October 14, 1767 in Berlin ; † November 5, 1831 in Breslau ) was the royal Prussian district president of the district of Bromberg (1825-1831) in the province of Posen .

Life

origin

The parents were the Prussian Secret Finance Councilor and Chamber President Aurich Peter Colomb (1719–1797) and Marie Elisabeth Bacmeister (1740–1807). His brother Peter von Colomb (1775-1854) was a Prussian officer , most recently a general of the cavalry . Her sister Amalie (1772–1850) was married to the Prussian Field Marshal Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher from 1795 .

Career

Ludwig attended school in Aurich and grammar school in Berlin. He studied law, philosophy and mathematics in Halle on the Saale. In 1791 he worked in the Royal Domain Chamber in Aurich. In 1792 he moved to the Kurmärkische Kammer in Berlin. After further assignments in Prussian administrative offices, he was appointed commissioner for Kolberg in 1809 . Since 1816 active as president of the district, Colomb died in 1831 as president of the Bromberg district.

He was married to Martyna von Zablocky (born January 30, 1781, † September 10, 1825). The couple had several children:
