Ludwig Commerell (born August 18, 1818 in Tübingen , † October 16, 1907 in Stuttgart ) was a Württemberg consul, businessman and entrepreneur.

Live and act

Ludwig Commerell, who was called by the Louis family, was a son of Wilhelm Comerell, the post stable master and host to Traube in Tübingen, and his wife Anna Maria, née. Wezel. He married on December 2, 1846 in Calw Marie Karoline Schill (born September 10, 1826, † September 2, 1912 in Stuttgart ).

In Odessa , Russia , he was Associé of S. Fenderich & Co. From 1855 to 1857 he was Deputy Consul of Württemberg there and from July 29, 1864 to November 14, 1871, Consul of Württemberg.

On February 2, 1873 he was a co-founder of the Bellino u. Fenderich in Odessa. The German engineering works and shipyard Bellino was located near the large German engineering works Höhn outside the customs borders of Odessa in the workers' suburb of Peresyp , where the majority of the population spoke Russian and only a fifth spoke Yiddish.
