Ludwig Fromm

Ludwig Fromm (born March 20, 1824 in Rehna , † August 2, 1884 in Boltenhagen ) was a German historian and government official in Schwerin .

Life

Ludwig Fromm was born in Rehna in 1824 as the son of a pastor. He worked as archive secretary in the statistical office in Schwerin . In 1863 he became a member of the Association for Mecklenburg History and Archeology . He made contributions to Karl Bartsch's collection of sagas, fairy tales and customs from Meklenburg (2 volumes, 1879/80). In addition, he worked on the publication of the Allgemeine Deutsche Biographie , for which he wrote over sixty biographical articles on Mecklenburg personalities and princes between 1875 and 1883 . For the yearbooks and annual reports of the Association for Mecklenburg History and Archeology. In 1887 he edited the registers for the years 31–40. As the author of Mecklenburgica, he wrote numerous articles on regional studies that were published in the Archive for Regional Studies in the Grand Duchies of Mecklenburg and in the association's yearbooks mentioned above .

Ludwig Fromm died on August 2, 1884 in Boltenhagen, he was buried in Schwerin.
