Ludwig Hannakam (born December 3, 1923 in Stankau near Pilsen , Czechoslovakia ; † December 5, 1987 in Berlin , Germany ) was a German electrical engineer who worked in the field of theoretical electrical engineering .

Hannakam did his doctorate at the TH Darmstadt on "Dynamic behavior of electrical working waves" and completed his habilitation there. From 1953 he was head of the electrical research laboratory of the AEG in Berlin, where he investigated compensation processes in electrical machines using analog computers .

From 1961 until his death, he held the chair for theoretical electrical engineering at the TU Berlin as a full professor . His most important research results include "Findings about the missing z-component of the eddy currents in the infinite half-space with an inclined current loop" , the "Calculation of three-dimensional movements of welding robots with six degrees of freedom" and the "Calculation of the sun's magnetic field from measurements in the photosphere" .
