Ludwig Hinzpeter (born April 1, 1862 in Rostock , † August 11, 1935 in Hamburg ) was a German composer, educator and music critic.

Life

Ludwig Hinzpeter attended the Rostock secondary school, then the conservatory in Leipzig. He studied canon and fugue typesetting with Ludwig Stollbrock. He worked as a music critic for twelve years, then as a teacher for piano, theory and singing in Rostock. In 1919 Ludwig Hinzpeter moved to Hamburg. He composed songs for a single voice, choir songs for mixed choir, including Low German songs, dances and other instrumental music.
