Ludwig Lückel

Ludwig Lückel (born March 19, 1868 in Alzey ; † April 28, 1929 there ) was a Hessian politician ( Social Democratic Party of Germany ) and a former member of the Landtag of the People's State of Hesse in the Weimar Republic .

Ludwig Lückel was the son of the handworker Philipp Lorenz Lückel and his wife Elisabethe nee Müller. Lückel, who was a Protestant denomination, was married to Eva, a son she was born in. Ludwig Lückel trained as a carpenter after graduating from elementary school and worked in this profession until 1912. From 1912 to 1924 he was managing director of the consumer cooperative in Alzey and from 1924 until his death a wine and grocery merchant in Alzey.

Ludwig Lückel was a city councilor in Alzey from 1901 to 1919 and an alderman from 1919 to 1929. From 1921 to 1929 he was a member of the Hessian state parliament. Georg Schwebel became his successor in the state parliament . A candidacy for the Reichstag in constituency 22 (Hessen-Darmstadt) was unsuccessful in 1920.
