Ludwig Rudolf von Fellenberg

Ludwig Rudolf von Fellenberg (born March 17, 1809 in Bern , † February 13, 1878 in Cannes ) was a Swiss chemist .

Fellenberg was full professor of chemistry and mineralogy at the Lausanne Academy from 1842 to 1846 . After his dismissal by the radical government , he devoted himself to mineralogical-metallurgical research as a private scholar in Bern and analyzed, among other things, Swiss mineral water , ancient bronzes and glasses. Fellenberg was a member of the Historical Association of the Canton of Bern , the Natural Research Society of Bern and the Civic Community of Bern .
