Ludwig Sütterlin 1934

Ludwig Sütterlin (born November 16, 1863 in Heidelberg , † July 3, 1934 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) was a German linguist and Germanist .

In 1890 he became a lecturer at the University of Heidelberg , where he took over the professorship for German studies in 1896 . In 1913 he accepted the call to the University of Freiburg im Breisgau , where he worked until his death in 1934. Ludwig Sütterlin earned lasting merits by trying to use his method to put phonetics and language physiology at the service of grammatical research. Sütterlin was a member of the Zaringia Heidelberg regional team .
