Ludwig Severin (bailiff)

Christian Ludwig Severin (born January 20, 1776 in Mengeringhausen ; † July 28, 1832 in Pyrmont ) was a German lawyer in Waldeck .

Severin was the son of the Waldeck government councilor Theodor Severin. He studied law and was then an advocate in Mengeringhausen from 1798 to 1804 . In 1804 he became judicial officer in the Pyrmont office , most recently with the title of judicial councilor. In 1811 he married Marianne nee Hotzen (1791–1828). Their son Ludwig Severin also became a lawyer and later President of the Landtag in Waldeck. With the organizational edict in 1814, the offices were dissolved and four upper offices were formed. Severin was appointed to the head of the new Diemel Higher Office in Arolsen as a senior justice officer . In the same year he was transferred to the Oberamt des Eisenberg in Korbach in the same position . From 1814 until his death in 1832 he was then head of the Pyrmont district office . In 1829 he was appointed a councilor.
