Ludwig Steimle
Ludwig Steimle (* 1887 in Pfullingen ; † December 7, 1974 ) was a German civil servant and politician . He was Lord Mayor of Ravensburg from 1945 to 1946 .
Steimle was mayor from 1914 to 1933 (until 1930 “Schultheiss”) of Amtzell . After the end of the war, he succeeded engineer Rudolf Walzer , who headed the city of Ravensburg during the reign of the Nazi regime.
In 1946, criminal proceedings were opened against Steimle and charges were made of embezzlement and favoritism in office, coercion and war economic crimes.
