Ludwig Worman

Ludwig Worman (born 1761 in Tinicum , Bucks County , Province of Pennsylvania , †  October 17, 1822 in Earl , Pennsylvania ) was an American politician . In 1821 and 1822 he represented the state of Pennsylvania in the US House of Representatives .

Career

Ludwig Worman received only a limited education. He then completed an apprenticeship in tanning. In 1784 he moved to Earl, where he opened a tannery. He later embarked on a political career as a member of the Federalist Party .

In the congressional elections of 1820 Worman was elected to the US House of Representatives in Washington, DC in the seventh constituency of Pennsylvania , where he succeeded Daniel Udree on March 4, 1821 . He was able to exercise this mandate until his death on October 17, 1822. At this point in time, the elections for the following legislative period had already taken place, in which Worman had not been confirmed.
