Ludwig von Auer

Ludwig von Auer (* 1966 in Erlangen ) is a German professor of economics . He holds the chair for finance at the University of Trier .

Von Auer studied economics in Kiel, Edinburgh and London before doing his doctorate in Kiel in 1997 and habilitation in Magdeburg in 2002 on the methods of measuring inflation.

From 2002 to 2006 he represented the chair for international economics at the University of Magdeburg before taking over the chair in Chemnitz at the end of 2006 . In the 2007/2008 winter semester, von Auer took over the Chair of Public Finance at the University of Trier.
