The Unterschwaningen air sports area is a small airfield for microlight aircraft.
location
The airfield is on a slight hill east of the village of Unterschwaningen and about 1 km south of the district of Oberschwaningen. The approach is unobstructed from all sides. The hangar houses various microlight aircraft including a gyroplane. A small extension is used for flight control and also as a drinks depot. The closest airfields are the Geilsheim ( Wassertrüdingen ) glider airfields (7 km) and Irsingen south of the Hesselberg (11 km) and the Gunzenhausen-Reutberg airfield (EDMH) (13 km).
