Lui Tuck Yew (born August 16, 1961 ) is a politician from Singapore . He is a board member of the People's Action Party (PAP), and among other things Minister of Transport and Second Foreign Minister .

Life

Lui attended the Anglo-Chinese School and the Anglo-Chinese Junior College. With a Singapore Armed Forces Overseas Scholarship, he studied chemistry at Trinity College at Cambridge University and graduated in 1983. In 1994, he received a Masters of Arts degree in International Relations from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University in the United States. Lui Tuck Yew is married to Soo Fen. They have two daughters.

Lui was appointed Minister of State for Education in 2006. In 2008 he became Senior Minister in the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Information, Communication and the Arts. A year later he was Deputy Minister for Information, Communication and the Arts, and in 2009 he also became a full member of the Cabinet. After the 2011 election, Lui became Minister for Transport and Second Minister for Foreign Affairs.
