Luigi Sposito

Luigi Sposito (born March 8, 1921 in Sorrento , † June 11, 2004 ) was bishop of the Curia .

Life

Luigi Sposito was ordained a priest on June 10, 1945 .

On December 18, 1992, John Paul II appointed him Secretary of the Prefecture for Economic Affairs of the Holy See and Titular Bishop of Tagaria . The Pope personally consecrated him bishop on January 6 of the next year ; Co- consecrators were Giovanni Battista Re , substitute for the State Secretariat , and Justin Francis Rigali , Secretary of the Congregation for Bishops and the College of Cardinals .

His age-related resignation was accepted in 1997. On February 28, 1998, he was appointed titular bishop of Capreae .
