Luigia Codemo

Luigia Codemo (born September 5, 1828 in Treviso , † August 3, 1898 in Venice ) was an Italian writer .

life and work

Luigia Codemo gained an important knowledge of the world and life on extensive and uninterrupted trips on which she accompanied her parents from 1838 to 1850, married in Venice in 1851 with the knight Karl von Gerstenbrand († 1880) and first entered in 1856 with her Memorie di un contadino (2nd edition, Venice 1874) the field of literary activity in which it has since developed a great fruitfulness.
